Mr. Patel is the founding principal and CEO of GCFID.
Concluding in 2011, Mr. Patel was previously a partner in a closely held family business which consisted of a portfolio of companies including insurance, finance, lodging, and real estate development. His responsibilities were wide in scope across each industry and included the acquisition and divestiture of several related business entities, development and disposition of various commercial real estate assets, and the overall planning and execution of corporate strategy.
Previously, he spent more than 20-years in executive management positions in the global telecommunications industry. His experience includes the following: Chairman and CEO of Rann Globalnet located in Prague, Czech Republic, Vice President and Board Member of GT-Vcom working throughout Hong Kong and China, Director of Sales at Unisource Carrier Services located in Switzerland, and Head of UK Delegation for International Standards with British Telecommunications located in London, England.
Mr. Patel received a Masters of Business Administration from Warwick Business School and an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The City University in London. Originally from London, England, Mr. Patel currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Conway is currently a Principal of GCFID.
Complementing GCFID investment activities, Mr. Conway is also the Founding Member and Principal of Dominus Property Partners. Dominus is a private real estate company focused on direct investments, development and asset management.
Transaction experience includes equity and debt financing for asset acquisitions, preferred equity and subordinated debt recapitalization, asset management solutions including debt forgiveness and restructuring, detailed financial analysis for asset underwriting, and full-service development planning and management.
Previously, he served as the Managing Member of TerraStone Group. TerraStone is a closely held corporation formed as holding company and private equity investment vehicle for family office real estate investments.
Mr. Conway’s work experience also includes investment management at Morgan Stanley as a member of the Global Wealth Management Group. Areas of global expertise included equities, fixed income, real estate, hedge funds, private equity, and liquidity strategy.
Mr. Conway received a B.A. in Business Administration from Furman University.
